Upper blepharoplasty starts with an incision hidden in your eyelid's natural crease, then careful measurement of the extra skin, and it's important to note that's skin from the eyelid, not the eyebrow, a distinction patients often get confused about. We remove only what's needed to refresh the area, never so much that you can't close your eyes comfortably at night, which risks chronic dry eye. The incision is designed with a subtle upward flare so the eye doesn't end up looking artificially round. From there, every case is different. Some patients just need skin removed. Others have extra fat near the inner corner that needs contouring or repositioning. We might also add internal brow support or address a lacrimal gland causing extra fullness. But the step that matters most is correcting ptosis, the real cause of that droopy, "lazy eye" look or sleepy appearance so many patients come to us for.
